The metal slide top lid allows you to control the needed flame size Burn times average 15-25 minutes with the lid completely removed. The heat this product creates is extremely hot, which allows it to easily dry out and ignite wet wood or tough to light tinder. How do I use it?
Live Fire Sport Emergency Fire Starter is very simple to use. When starting your fire, simply slide the lid off and light the wick material inside with a striking rod, lighter, or match. The flame should start to build right away and can burn for about 25 minutes. For just a quick flame, you can slide the lid closed when needed and the flame will instantly go out. Using the lid to control the flame is a good way to save fuel for next time.
Tips for starting a successful fire:
- Gather the best tinder you can (twigs, shaved wood, kindling, etc).
- Strike the fire starter and hold under the pile of tinder, just until fire is lit.
- Once fire has started and materials are burning, close the lid to save fuel for next use.
