Boreal Custom Fire Starter, Ferro Rod w/Hardwood Handle, “The MOOSE” – 3/4″

The MOOSE Custom is a fire starter (ferrocerium rod) 3/4″ (20mm) diameter for Tens of Thousands of strikes! Casts hot sparks over 5000F to light even marginal tinder. The handle is a hand fitted Birch Wood which has been lightly sanded and given a coating of Beeswax Polish with a Leather lanyard. Does not come with a striker, use the back of your knife or a hard piece of steel. Check our other listings for a custom hardened steel striker. Don’t venture into the wilderness without it!
