Boreal Custom Fire Starter, Ferro Rod w/Birch Handle, “the Lynx”, 3/8″

The LYNX Custom is a fire starter (ferrocerium rod) 3/8″ (10mm) diameter for Thousands of strikes! Casts hot sparks over 5000F to light even marginal tinder. The handle is a hand fitted solid Birch hardwood which has been light sanded and coated with a beeswax finish and fitted with a leather lanyard. Does not come with a striker, use the back of your knife or a hard piece of steel. Check our other listings for a custom hardened steel striker.  Don’t venture into the wilderness without it!
