Boreal Custom Fire Starter, Ferro Rod w/Wood Handle, “the WOLVERINE”, 1/2″

The WOLVERINE Custom is a fire starter (ferrocerium rod) 1/2″ (12.7mm) diameter x 7.5″ (overall length) for Thousands of strikes! Casts hot sparks over 5000F to light even marginal tinder. The handle is a hand fitted Birch Hardwood with a leather lanyard. The handle has been given a light sanding only and has a beeswax coating. These are custom made and there will be slight differences between them. I try and make them more or less the same, Gary. Does not come with a striker, use the back of your knife or a hard piece of steel. Check our other listings for a custom hardened steel striker.  Don’t venture into the wilderness without it!
